Kum Bah Ya Club

An alternative morning worship service for grades K through 6.
Purpose: To seize an opportunity to further teach children in our
church about God and His Love, Scripture, and it's life application, as well as
providing a loving atmosphere for children to worship together and give their
lives over to Christ.
These boys and girls meet each Sunday
of the month except the first and fifth, from about 10 minutes into the
morning service until the end of the service, year 'round. They go upstairs to
classes, then later gather downstairs in Fellowship Hall for a time of singing. An assistant is waiting at
the stairs to make sure the children know where to go.
Over the year, the teachers cover a variety of topics and themes such as the
Bible, the life of Jesus, devotionals, and missions. Monthly memory verses are
provided and the children are encouraged and rewarded (with Kum Bah Ya Bucks) to
memorize and recite these to leaders. One year we used a "Veggie Tales" program
which had a different theme each month. Typical themes have been "Be Obedient,"
"Be Thankful," and "Be Faithful."

The older children studied the 10 Commandments. Adult leaders were
assisted by teen assistants who take turns helping.
We sincerely hope that you have found your children's lives enriched by Kum
Bah Ya Club and will continue to pray for us as we minister to the children.
Your children are important to us, and we truly feel we have been blessed to
spend this time with them. If your children have never been to our Children's
Worship, we invite you to bring them this Sunday. The meet every Sunday except the first
one each
month, and the fifth Sunday, when children remain in the adult service to experience the Lord's Supper
with their families). There is also no Children's Church on those Sundays that
fall on Christmas Day.
