Our church is seeking
a part-time Youth Minister. We are presently considering one applicant.
Members will have a chance to hear his testimony Sunday
morning (both services) on March 30 and then personally meet him and his
family after the 11 a.m. service, in a potluck luncheon in Fellowship Hall.
UBCNews (general newsletter and reminder email sent to members and
friends usually every Wednesday. Occasionally sent early to when a
reminder is needed earlier in the week.)
CCList (special weekly email for our College/Career group. Includes
reminders of up-coming events and directions to them. Usually goes out on
Wednesdays)
DiscoveryList (a monthly email update of the topics for the month in
the pastor's Discovery Class, a relaxed Bible Study class each Sunday
morning -- other than June through August -- which begins at 10 a.m. but
is preceded by a brunch at 9:45 p.m. There is not requirement to read or
pray aloud
We
have a new list server. When you sign up, you will have the opportunity to
choose an html email when available (some are only sent as text).
There is a a link at the bottom of every email which allows you to
change which lists you are subscribed to, or to change your
preferences.

We now have an online calendar. Not all
events are on it yet, but many are. Use the Calendar link at the top of any
page. More complete two-month
calendars are available free in the foyer, as well as one-month ones in the
UBC Informer, with is e-mailed monthly to those who request it (you can call
907-479-2440).

Since we are in the Advent Season, you might want to check

this link. Just click on a square of the calendar to get loads of
information about advent.
UBC Informers can now be
downloaded in full color and in pdf format from our
Newsletter page. Our
monthly UBC
Informers (10 pages hardcopy newsletter)
will also be emailed to those who request it. Just send an
email to the church email address, which is the full 3-word name of
the church, preceded by office@ and ending with ".net"
To download the PDF files, click on the newsletter link at the top of
this page, which will take you to the newsletter index page. If you
normally receive your subscription in the mail, but plan to download
your copy each month, you may want to call the church and cancel
your "hard-copy" subscription, to save the church postage.
Each time you click "Humor" at the top of the page,
or refresh that page, you will get a new Christian cartoon -
nearly 300 in all!
Deadlines: for the
January Newsletter is
Sunday, 12/24/06, or the 27th if items are sent electronically. The Sunday Bulletin deadline
is always the Wednesday noon prior.
Our site will look best in IE4 or NS4 or above browsers with access to the Georgia font,
but should look well in most other browsers that can handle
css, tables, and javascript. If you do not have the Georgia
font, here are links for you so you can add them - there are
so many web sites using Georgia now, that you may be missing
out on a lot without this font.
